Jeff has been a professional middle distance runner for the past 15 years, specialising in the 800m and 1500m. His career highlights include representing Australia at the Beijing, London, Rio and Tokyo Olympics, joining a select group of only nine other track and field athletes to be selected in four Olympic Games. At 34 years of age, Jeff has had a career best season, including being a semi-finalist at the Tokyo Olympics and running 4 of his top 10 fastest 800m performances.
Throughout his career, Jeff has always been curious about physiology and training; partly in his own pursuit of excellence, but also due to the inherent passion for mentoring upcoming athletes and eventually coaching in the future. This has seen Jeff go down the pathway of a Bachelor in Exercise Science & Sports Management, as well as more recently a Masters in High Performance Sport.
Jeff combines the practical experience and knowledge acquired through his studies, Jeff hopes to help runners of all levels learn more about training, find the limits of their bodies and how the benefits of running and working towards goals can extend into, and positively impact all parts of life.
With a thorough knowledge of all aspects of high performance sport, combined with 15 years of training and competing at a world-class level, momentum running is able to cater to all levels of runner. From those who have always wanted to take up running but are unsure of where to start, to experienced runners that want extra push. Momentum running will provide you with the guidance that ensures optimal training loads and progression to ultimately work towards achieving your individual running goals.
